Wearing Knits in Spring

Photos: Scott Greenway (@scott_benjamin)

Last week in Leeds the sun came out, and as British people would do, we all wanted to spend our time out in the sun. Even though it was sunny it got pretty nippy in the afternoons, but, naturally, I still wanted to put a cute dress on. Spring is that time of year in the UK where one day is sunny and warm, the next is sunny and cold and the other days are raining and misserable, so layering is the best answer for this constantly changing weather.

Every year Zara has that staple white, smock dress I think everyone should have in their wardrobe. I got this one last year, its actually a smock playsuit and has a light and floaty feel to it with a silk finish. By putting this chunky jumper from PrettyLittleThing on, I was able to be out all day and not be too cold or too hot. Wearing knitwear in spring and layering your outfits will make your life so much easier to tackle the changing weather. You can just take off the jumper if you're too hot, you are warm enough for those harsh winds, and you can get your legs out which gives you that summery feeling - win!

You will defo be seeing more of this playsuit, I love finding old favourites from my wardrobe and styling them differently - it gives me that new clothes feeling without spending money (Yes please!).

Till next time,
